‘Inappropriate’ or not? Comedian’s shock Trump photo lands her in hot water

Comedian Kathy Griffin has apologized after a strange satirical photoshoot featuring her holding a bloody head resembling President Donald Trump. TMZ released footage of the photoshoot, and the gory image of Griffin with the decapitated head sparked a backlash.

Doc Thompson, Brad Staggs and Kris Cruz discussed the strange photo and the backlash while filling in for Glenn Beck on Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”

“’Inappropriate’ is always in the eye of the beholder,” Doc Thompson reminded the audience. While he didn’t find it personally offensive, he was frustrated with the fact that it was an attempt at comedy that simply wasn’t funny.

TMZ reportedly leaked one image from a larger project that probably won’t be seen now.

“If that’s the punch line, I’d hate to hear the joke,” Brad Staggs said.

CNN has terminated its agreement with Griffin for the comedian to be part of the network's New Year's Eve program after she co-hosted the celebration from Times Square for a decade. “We found what she did disgusting and offensive,” a CNN spokesperson told TheBlaze in an emailed statement.

To see more from Glenn, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “The Glenn Beck Radio Program” with Glenn Beck, Pat Gray, Stu Burguiere and Jeffy Fisher weekdays 9 a.m.–noon ET on TheBlaze Radio Network.
