Mike Opelka is joined by radio host Angie Austin for her take on how a school district in West Virginia is dealing with shrinking budgets and enrollments numbers brought about by the continued decline of the coal industry. The Kanawha County school district is taking a controversial approach to layoffs, forcing teachers to draw numbers out of a hat to determine who will lose their jobs. Both Mike and Angie feel that the school district's approach to job cuts is going to weed out high-quality teachers.
