MSNBC reporter Katy Tur proves her ignorance, but later corrects her mistake
February 21, 2017
MSNBC reporter Katy Tur was discussing America's relationship with Russia with Rep. Francis Rooney (R–FL) when he brought up a discussion Barack Obama had with Vladimir Putin in 2012, which was seen as overly deferential.
Tur immediately ended the interview after saying, "I don't know what you're referring to." She was widely criticized for her actions, but unlike most other reporters, she actually came full circle and researched the 2012 meeting before explaining herself on a later show.
Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere applaud her making good amid a bad situation.
