This millennial advocate is fighting for Antifa to be labeled a terrorist group

Antifa rioters have wreaked havoc on streets and school campuses, breaking windows, throwing Molotov cocktails and assaulting people. But are they terrorists? Angela Morabito of StandUnited.org joined Wednesday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” to talk about her fight to get Antifa protesters labeled a terrorist group.

What is Antifa?

Antifa is technically short for “anti-fascist,” and the group claims to oppose Nazis like the ones that marched in Charlottesville. But Antifa demonstrators don’t always stick to peaceful protests; rioters have used some scary tactics to fight against groups they don’t like, including vandalizing and destroying property and attacking people.

How is StandUnited.org fighting back?

A petition asking the Trump administration to classify Antifa as a terrorist organization has around 8,000 signatures so far. The group is also advocating for a city college professor who says he’s “anti-fascist” and called his students “future dead cops” to be fired.
