'Sign of a serial killer': Glenn Beck reacts to NYC, Hollywood liberals who celebrate abortions

Why would anyone celebrate killing an unborn child?

At the direction of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the One World Trade Center's spire was lit in pink Tuesday night to celebrate the passing of a new measure which legalized abortions up until birth when deemed "necessary to protect the patient's health."

Known as the Reproductive Health Act, the new bill drops most of the state's previous restrictions on abortions after 24 weeks, and allows for the procedure "at any time when necessary to protect a patient's life or health," although it does not specify what constitutes as a health necessity.

"The Reproductive Health Act is a historic victory for New Yorkers and for our progressive values. In the face of a federal government intent on rolling back Roe v. Wade and women's reproductive rights, I promised that we would enact this critical legislation within the first 30 days of the new session - and we got it done," said Cuomo. "I am directing that New York's landmarks be lit in pink to celebrate this achievement and shine a bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow."

On Thursday's radio program, Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Pat Gray compared this week's jubilation over legalizing the murder of unborn children to the ongoing Hollywood-embraced "celebrate your abortion movement," as Glenn called it.

Glenn played an audio recording of actress Martha Plimpton who proudly announced to an audience in Seattle last June, that she got her "first abortion" at the Seattle Planned Parenthood.

"Yay!" she can be heard cheering. "Notice I said 'first.' I said 'first,'" she added, "I don't want Seattle — I don't want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one." The crowd reacts with laughter and applause.

Glenn asked how people might react if a veterinary worker gleefully declared that the first time they euthanized someone's pet was their "best one."

"Seriously, they would want you in a mental institution," said Pat.

"They would say, 'you, step away from the syringe'," said Glenn. "Sign of a serial killer ... you are a psycho."

"So, how is it that ... any woman could get on stage and say 'celebrate your abortion'?" he asked. "I don't know anybody who says, 'celebrate my dog's euthanasia.' To celebrate, to have the governor insist that the buildings in New York ... to light them in pink, it should have been in crimson red for the blood of the innocents."

Cuomo touted his Catholic faith just days before signing "the most extreme abortion law" imaginable.
