The fourth GOP debate had no shortage of drama and theatrics. One notable moment was when Vivek Ramaswamy tore into Nikki Haley for rooting her campaign in identity politics.
He claimed that identity politics has become Americaβs βnew religion that says your race, your gender, and your sexuality are your identity.β
βItβs anti-American; itβs anti-meritocratic,β he said before criticizing the fact that βNikki Haley's campaign launch video sounded like a woke Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ad talking about how she would kick in heelsβ and how βat the first debate, she said that only a woman can get this job done.β
βI reject the use of identity politics in this party; it has been a cancer coming from the left, and I'm sick and tired of the double standards,β he criticized over a mixture of cheering and booing from the audience.
βAmen,β says Sara Gonzales in agreement. βYou don't need to be walking around claiming that being a woman gives you some sort of special powers.β
