What did Smollett hope to gain?


On Friday's show of "Pat Gray Unleashed," Pat Gray, Keith Malinak, and Jeff Fisher discussed surveillance footage that captured Jussie Smollett's "attackers" purchasing ski masks, rope, and gloves from the Crafty Beaver Hardware Store, and then paying for it with a $100 bill provided by Smollett.

In the clip, Pat made an honest attempt at understanding how the "Empire" actor thought he would benefit from staging the hate crime hoax. But then realizing that a logical explanation does not exist, Pat switched gears and showed video footage of the two fake "attackers" purchasing supplies from the Crafty Beaver Hardware Store.
