Watch Ellison blast Mulvaney for frosting his office windows during government transparency hearing
April 13, 2018
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) ripped into Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Mick Mulvaney over frosted glass windows at a government transparency hearing on Wednesday. Representatives met at a House Financial Services Committee to discuss a lack of government transparency within the bureau, but things turned sour after Ellison likened Mulvaney's "frosted" office windows to a lack of government transparency.
"When you got to the CFPB, was the glass clear in your office?" Ellison asked Mulvaney.
"Yes sir," Mulvaney replied.
"So when somebody walks by your office, they're obscured from seeing what you're doing," Ellison continued.
"Uh, yeah. They are," said Mulvaney. "That's the whole point."
Absolutely ridiculous. See the clip of the exchange above.
