Former rival Carly Fiorina calls Trump a 'champion' after meeting at Trump Towers
December 12, 2016
Carly Fiorina, amid rumors that she was being considered for a top Cabinet position — perhaps even secretary of state — talked with reporters about her positive meeting with Donald Trump Monday, calling him a "champion."

Many see this as a great sign of Trump's magnanimity considering he and Fiorina were bitter rivals during the Republican primary when she sought the presidential nomination and later when she became Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's vice presidential pick at the tail end of his campaign. Others are seeing a bit of hypocrisy from Fiorina, who excoriated Trump by decrying his sexism constantly and now seems to be seeking a position in his administration.
Politics is indeed creating strange bedfellows.
