Johnny Cash's Daughter to Boehner: Stop Using My Dad's Name You '******

"we have no hope and we have no cash"

It may be the weirdest, non-nonsensical expletive you've ever heard. But last night, Rosanne Cash used it to let John Boehner know how she feels about him invoking her father Johnny's name on the campaign trail.

First, Boehner's popular stump line, as reported by the New York Times:

At each stop he draws on nostalgia for the Republican glory days of the 1980s, by telling the same joke. “Remember when Ronald Reagan was president,” he said. “We had Bob Hope. We had Johnny Cash. Think about where we are today. We have got President Obama. But we have no hope and we have no cash.” It draws hoots of laughter and applause every time.

While some may laugh and applause, Rosanne Cash is fuming. She took to Twitter to let Boehner know it:

John Boehner: Stop using my dad's name as a punchline, you ***hat

In case you're wondering, the redacted portion is another three letter word for butt. And if you're still having a hard time understanding the expletive (like I did), you can see it here.

As Politico's Ben Smith said, it's "an expletive I've never had to try redacting before."
