Alvin Greene Officially Running for President: 'I'm the Greatest Person Ever

"I’m the man. I’m the man. I’m the man."

Remember South Carolina U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene? He's the one that can't stop blaming Jim DeMint for the recession, and also likes to give bunny ears on live TV. Not surprisingly, he lost his Senate bid. But rather than lose hope, he's setting his sights higher -- the White House.

“Write about me running for president,” Greene told the Free Times. “I’m running for president of the United States.”

According to Greene, he was literally born for the job.

“I’m the next president,” he added. “I’ll be 35 … just before November, so I was born to be president."

He then made it clear that he's the man by saying it six times: "I’m the man. I’m the man. I’m the man. Greene’s the man. I’m the man. I’m the greatest person ever. I was born to be president. I’m the man, I’m the greatest individual ever.”

Greene announced his presidential bid at a court hearing where he was set to enter a plea regarding obscenity charges. He is accused of showing college student Camille McCoy porn on a school computer.

The hearing, however, was delayed: Greene's attorney never showed up. According to the paper, the attorney was held up at a different court appearance.

Greene eventually entered a not guilty plea, but said he thought it was just a "roll call" hearing.

That sparked some harsh words from Camille's mother Susan: “He’s being misled; but then he’s stupid as a brick so why should we expect otherwise?”
