Occupy Melbourne Protesters Forcibly Removed by Police

It was not a G'Day for some Occupy Melbourne prosters as riot police forcibly removed the demonstrators against corporate greed from their campsites Friday. ITN News on the clash:

The Herald Sun writes that police have clashed with protestors twice at City Square in Melbourne. Four hundred Occupy Melbourne protesters were met at the fenced-off square by dog squad officers, where "about 20 police forced themselves between the fence and the crowd, scuffling with demonstrators." On Friday, 100 protesters were arrested from the square where Occupy Melbourne demonstrators have camped out for over a week.

The first peaceful rallies of Occupy Sydney will begin this week.
