Obama campaign gets a useless Tumblr

If a public figure isn't going to personally update their social media accounts, there's no reason to have them. Look at the Obama campaign's new Tumblr:

No offense to Ashleigh B., but this is boring. Social media is meant to create a more direct connection between people. President Obama's supporters are no closer to him or his campaign by looking at a professional photo of Ashleigh B. packing up old cell phones. At least show Obama himself doing the packing.

It almost (almost) makes you miss the authenticity of Anthony Weiner's Twitter account. Those were the days.
