Just as the country was getting ready to see what Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) would do with it (nothing), she went ahead and renounced her dual-citizenship status with Switzerland.
"I took this action because I want to make it perfectly clear: I was born in America and I am a proud American citizen," Bachmann said, according to a MinnPost reporter.
News broke this week that Bachmann had recently been granted citizenship with Switzerland in addition to her status as an American. Looks like she gave it up and all the perks that come with it(?).
