Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-Ill.) has been out of commission on Capitol Hill since last month for medical purposes.
He's still out. His office released a statement today saying it's "more serious" than they thought.
“Recently, we have been made aware that he has grappled with certain physical and emotional ailments privately for a long period of time.”
They're not saying exactly what's wrong with him. It was initially stated he was suffering from "exhaustion." But, we do know Jackson is currently under investigation by the House Ethics Committee. He allegedly offered to raise money for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in exchange for being appointed to the Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama.
