Trayvon Martin's parents don't accept George Zimmerman's apology for killing their son, and reject his claim that it was "God's plan" the way events leading up to his shooting death unfolded.
"I simply really don't know what god George Zimmerman is worshiping, because there's no way that the god that I serve had in his plans for George Zimmerman to murder my son," father Tracy Martin said Thursday on CBS, the morning after Zimmerman's first televised interview aired on Fox News.
Sybrina Fulton, Martin's mother, said she didn't believe Zimmerman when he apologized for shooting her son.
"I have a hard time accepting it because he also said that he doesn't regret anything that he did that night, and I don't think God would have him in his plan to murder an innocent child," Fulton said.
Zimmerman, currently out of jail, is charged with second-degree murder in the unarmed Florida teen's death.
