Wow...': Eccentric Reporter Runs Down the Street Shouting 'It's a Wonderful Life' Quotes on Fox & Friends

"Have you been at the Coors plant before this?"

Local Denver KDVR-TV reporter Dan Daru made an appearance on Fox & Friends this morning, giving a live status report on the snowstorm sweeping Colorado ahead of the holidays.

You can tell from the outset that he has a humorous streak, even if you haven't seen the September clip where he made a baby cry live on television, then proceeded to dance around to "The Wizard of Oz."

Discussing how high the snow drifts are, Daru quickly seems to change gears from "weatherman" to "travel agent/improv comedian."

Saying how much Golden, Colorado resembles "Bedford Falls" from the classic holiday film "It's a Wonderful Life," Daru continues:

"Come to Denver, come to Golden, you're going to love the place...by the way, this is the town where water flows like beer.  Did you know that?  Because we've got the big Coors plant right over there...

"Listen, I'm going to toss it back to you guys, but I want to ask you a question.  It's impossible to come to Golden-- this is actually not a question-- it's impossible to come to Golden in the wintertime, in a snow globe, thinking of Bedford Falls, and not do your best Jimmy Stewart.  So you wanna hear my best Jimmy Stewart?"

Back in New York, the caught off-guard anchors laugh and Brian Kilmeade says "why not."  When Daru takes a step back, smiling at himself, Kilmeade awkwardly repeats, "let's go."

"'Alright, why not?'  Well there's an endorsement," Daru repeats with wry disappointment before screaming: "Merry Christmas, y'old New York anchors!"

Gretchen Carlson says "wow" without any excitement or inflection, before asking: "Have you been at the Coors plant before this?"

"You're supposed to be running down the streets," Steve Doocy chides of the "It's a Wonderful Life" impersonation.

And that was all Daru needed.  He took off screaming, "Merry Christmas, 'y'old brewery!  Merry Christmas y'old Welcome to Golden sign!  Merry Christmas y'old hobo!"
