Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus presented the findings of a new RNC report on Monday that highlight several areas the GOP can improve. Among them, message delivery...
From my front page story on Priebus's remarks about the report:
On media outreach, Priebus said pop culture news outlets, which President Barack Obama is widely regarded to have mastered, should be engaged by Republicans. “We have to stop divorcing ourselves from American culture,” he said. “And maybe that means I get to sit down with the ladies of The View.”
After Republicans lost big in the last election, there was and continues to be a debate about whether the party should distance itself from hardline conservative commentators. Asked if pundits like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh will hurt the RNC's new outreach strategy, Priebus said he's “not in the business of throwing anyone under the bus.”
We've requested comment from ABC on whether there are any plans to invite Priebus on The View.
