Home Run Ball Smacks Woman in Face After 'Pansy' Boyfriend Jumps Out of the Way

"...nice going boyfriend."

It was the top of the seventh inning between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday evening when the Cardinals Pete Kozma sent the ball flying for a home run.

Only that's not all he hit though.

It turns out his home run swing sent the ball flying straight into a woman's face at the other end of the field.

The man sitting with the woman, who has been labeled has her boyfriend, has been getting flack for jumping out of the way.

"She's fine, but nice going boyfriend," the sportscaster said in the replay.

Said boyfriend quickly tries to make it up to her by giving her a quick "make it better" kiss.

As Bleacher Report's Dan Carson puts it, this incident might help build a case for why men should feel OK bringing a mitt to the game.

"The moment brings us to an age-old argument: Should grown men bring a glove to baseball games? I, for one, don’t see the problem with it," Carson wrote. "If having one on you will keep your woman safe and save you from looking like a ball-shy, whipped-cream-loving pansy on national television, then go for it, Chief."
