Rep. Jason Chaffetz Makes More Startling Border Discoveries: 'Worst Thing I've Seen
April 03, 2013
"No papers checked. Supervisor said it happens daily"
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) continued his tour of the U.S.-Mexico border, posting a new round of tweets on Wednesday that further display the need for enhanced border security.
The "worst thing" he reported seeing was 60 unaccompanied elementary age children leaving school and crossing the border to go home to Mexico. A supervisor reportedly told Chaffetz that this happens daily.

Chaffetz also reported two big drug busts made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The agency reportedly seized 500 pounds of marijuana and 15 pounds of meth in a bogus spare tire.
"Lots of good CBP men and women doing tough important work," Chaffetz wrote.

Just as a bonus, you know, to make you feel extra confident about U.S. border security, Chaffetz also tweeted a photo of part of a border fence that appeared to be either incomplete or torn down.

On Tuesday, Chaffetz discovered a portion of the border that did not have any kind of a fence, and instead featured a walking path and guard rails.
