MSNBC isn't confirming or denying a report that said the cable channel is in talks to launch a weekly show hosted by actor Alec Baldwin.

"We’re fans of Alec but we’ve got nothing to say regarding this unconfirmed report," an unnamed MSNBC source told the media news blog Mediaite.
A NBC source provided TheBlaze with the exact same comment by email.
Mediaite was the first to report Thursday that Baldwin -- an outspoken Democrat who in June referred to a Daily Mail journalist as a "toxic little queen" -- would host a weekly Friday show on MSNBC in the 10 p.m. time slot.
Baldwin starred on NBC’s “30 Rock” for seven years, appeared on “Saturday Night Live” several times and hosted the network’s Live Earth concert in 2007.
