Conservative Radio Host Predicts He Will Replace Sean Hannity at Cumulus
August 15, 2013
"He’s probably a nice guy, but his time is come and his time has gone."
Conservative radio host Michael Savage took to the air waves on Thursday and predicted that he will replace Sean Hannity in his important 3-6 p.m. ET time slot on Cumulus radio. Other than his gut, Savage seemingly provided no evidence or sources to back up his prediction.
"I predict, right here, right now, that I, Michael Savage, and the 'Savage Nation' is going to take over 'The Sean Hannity Show' time slot by the end of the year. Look, his show is done and it's sad. He's not a bad guy. He’s probably a nice guy, but his time is come and his time has gone," Savage said.
He went on to say that he is "the heir apparent to afternoon drive on the east coast and around America on Cumulus stations, which have the most powerful stations in the radio world."
Listen to Savage make his prediction below:
There has been intense speculation after reports surfaced of a possible split between Cumulus and conservative radio hosts Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Mediaite reports, citing an unnamed "talk radio source," that Limbaugh is likely to stay on with Cumulus.
Savage and Hannity reportedly have a sour relationship as it is. Mediaite's Matt Wilstein notes that Savage previously called Hannity a "fake conservative" and one of the "most shallow men in the America media."
