Just a little bit of Sunday humor. And we know it's two years old, but this video promo from the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Burbank, CA is worth revisiting.
Apparently, the pastor at Westminster was was sick of hearing cell phones buzz and ring during services and decided that a clever message would get more attention than a stern one. The decision was a good one, the video has almost 4 million views.
The one minute clip starts innocently enough, looking and sounding like a courtesy request video seen in movie theaters before the feature film starts.
The video quickly shifts to announce an actual cash penalty ($25) will be imposed if a phone rings during the service, higher fees ($50) apply if an actual prayer is interrupted. However, if your phone should ring during the weekly sermon...as this man's did, the penalty is very serious. How serious?
If your phone rings while the pastor is preaching, you've earned an express trip to Hell. And apparently the ride to eternal damnation is delivered quicker than a Domino's pizza.
Enjoy the video!
