A bear wanders into a bar and the bartender freaks out. This might sound like the beginning of a bad joke, only it really happened and how the story ends is a bit surprising.
A black bear actually walked into the bar at the Alaskan Hotel in downtown Juneau Monday night.

Bartender Ariel Svetlik-McCarthy said she yelled, "No bear! Get out! No! You can't be in here!"
And the bear listened, backing out the door from whence he had came.

Here's another angle:
State biologist Ryan Scott says it's rare for black bears to go inside Juneau businesses, but they have wandered inside homes before.
He told KTOO-TV the staff did a great job, and it was good news the bear left. Svetlik-McCarthy joked that the bear also looked too young to be entering a bar.

State wildlife officials have killed two nuisance bears in Juneau this summer.
This also isn't the first time an angry woman yelling at a bear has managed to scare it off.
