A Minnesota teen was duck hunting Sunday when his dog hopped into the boat and, in an unfortunate incident, landed on the trigger of his shot gun.
Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch said in a statement that the office learned of the 19-year-old gunshot wound victim around 9:30 a.m. when the young man was admitted to Cass Lake Indian Health Services with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, but according to the sheriff's office, the dog "jumped into the boat engaging the trigger on the shotgun causing the discharge" while the hunters were near Federal Dam. It is unclear how many other hunters were on the boat or with the man.
There are no criminal charges pending, according to the sheriff.
