Upon seeing police chase and swarm the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., and hearing gunshots, staffers, tourists and really anyone in the immediate area fled the scene for cover.

There's something especially eerie about the silent footage taken from someone in a nearby building. It shows the people on the sidewalk below running Thursday afternoon from the area where a woman, who allegedly rammed a White House barrier and sped to the Capitol, was reportedly shot.
