BLAZE POLL: She's Under Fire For This Racy Post-Pregnancy Picture — But Is the Criticism Fair?

"I feel so empty..."

A Norwegian soccer player's wife is under fire for posting a provocative picture of her post-pregnancy body online Friday.

The controversial picture, posted to photo-sharing website Instagram, shows a very fit Caroline Berg Eriksen wearing only a pink bra and pair of black panties. Just four days after giving birth to daughter Neilia, Eriksen appears in the picture — captioned "feel so empty" — with a flat stomach.

Now, the photo is stirring controversy.

Blogger Suzanne Aabel questioned in an entry whether she even "belonged to the same species" as her.

"As a 32 year old with a 4 year old son even and according to BMI-halva '10 kg (22 pounds) overweight' I think: WHO ARE YOU TO POST THIS IMAGE? What do you want to say with this picture? Who are you talking to? What is the good purpose here? Why is this positive?," she wrote in her post titled "I feel fat because soccer lady has given birth."

"They struggle with body and food at some level all together. And they look up to famous people that we as adults have almost forgotten that we did," she added later in her entry.

One commenter on Aabel's entry appeared to agree with this sentiment, according to Mail Online, asking if it "is it really necessary to post a halvnakent picture of themselves?! It's just to show off, thinking's not much on how that image can affect readers."

But Eriksen, who claims to run Norway's largest blog, defended herself in a post on Facebook.

"I let out the picture because I'm proud of myself and my body for something as tough as a pregnancy / birth, and I think all mothers, regardless of the body shall be," she said.

As TheBlaze previously reported, athletic California mother Maria Kang also ignited controversy after she posted a photo showing off her toned body next to her three kids. Kang captioned her picture, "What's your excuse?"

What do you think?
