It's Bad Enough Being Arrested for Drunk Driving -- It's Even Worse When You Have to Take a Mug Shot Wearing This

34-year-old Brandon Touchet probably regrets getting behind the wheel while allegedly drunk — but the Louisiana man almost certainly regrets the outfit he was wearing when he was nabbed by cops.

Touchet, who was arrested by Lafayette police Sunday for DUI, was captured in a mug shot dressed as a Christmas elf while being booked into the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

According to a court document, obtained by The Smoking Gun, Touchet "admitted to speeding and consuming alcoholic beverages after he was Mirandized." Police said his speech was slurred and he was "swaying from side to side as he stood."

"Santa’s helper was freed from custody after posting $1500 bond," The Smoking Gun reported.
