"...even the most mundane seconds have meaning."

Three hundred sixty-five seconds. It's amazing how just one second a year adds up and can give a glimpse into someone's life.

That's all Matt Skuta gave us as a look into his past year. But it's enough to show us, as the Daily Dot put it, "that even in a year without major, life-changing moments for us, even the most mundane seconds have meaning."

Skuta, a student at the University of Oklahoma, gave people a tease with his first six months in July, but this week he released the final product of his project.

It's clear from the footage that Skuta has had his ups and downs and that his dogs are a big part of his life. A little white dog who made several appearances early in the nearly seven-minute video is at one point at a vet's office. Later, "Ginger" is in a dog bed with her King Charles Cavalier buddy. The next day Ginger was gone: she had died.

Watch the footage:

Skuta announced on Facebook that he was invited to bring "a modified version of this video to the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in France."

Shooting one second of film each day for a year and compiling it into a single video has become a trend of sorts. We've seen the one-second of a baby's life over a year and another that gave a look into the life of a woman.
