What Issue Do Dana Loesch and a Host of 'The View' Actually Agree On?

What happens when fiery Blaze TV host Dana Loesch co-hosts "The View" on ABC for a day? Many may have expected a "clash of the titans" scenario, but when the group of women actually spoke, they were unfailingly tolerant of one another's opinions.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg acknowledged at the beginning of the show that her Twitter feed has "blown up" since it was announced that Loesch was co-hosting, saying "people were really pissed off" that she would be coming on. But Goldberg still questioned Loesch about her opinions, and gave TheBlaze TV host plenty of time to respond.

More than that, there was actually one uniting issue for Loesch and co-host Jenny McCarthy: homeschooling.

"One thing I want to say ... that we do agree on is homeschooling," McCarthy said. "I'm about to start homeschooling [my son] here in New York City, and I know that you are homeschooling. What was the decision to homeschool?"

Loesch explained how there was a lack of options for her family in St. Louis, where they had been living until roughly two months ago, saying it was either a "very expensive private school" or "hope for the best" in a dicey public school.

"We have tutors come in, but I do handle all the curriculum," Loesch said.

"God bless you, girl, cause I get my break when Jeffrey goes to school!" co-host Sherri Shepherd chimed in with a laugh. "God bless you."

But Loesch was also questioned about why she went from a staunch liberal to a conservative. As she has discussed before, Loesch explained that motherhood completely changed her perspective on the world.

"It sort of helped me open up my mind a little more. Because when I was a liberal ... I wasn't just a liberal," Loesch said. "I campaigned for the Clintons ... I kept thinking, 'I'm progressive first, and everything else is second.'"

When pressed on what she specifically changed her perspective on, Loesch cited big government, fiscal responsibility and the importance of people being "good stewards to their fellow man."

Loesch also said she is pro-life and strongly believes in the Second Amendment, but that people often try to silence you in politics when you speak of such matters.

Often, she said, people can't just disagree -- "they don't want other people to have a voice."
