Watch White-Robed Man Chase Down Renegade Truck on Foot & Absolutely Nail Action-Movie Hero Moment in Real Life

Reports haven't indicated if the enterprising hero was working for local security forces.

In what can only be described as a real-life version of scenes from the Indiana Jones, Lethal Weapon, and Rambo franchises, lucky witnesses videotaped a Saudi man booking it on foot — donned in traditional white-robed garb no less — and chasing down a truck that apparently wouldn't stop at a police check point Friday.

Reports haven't indicated if the enterprising hero was working for local security forces, but regardless he caught up to the truck...

And hoisted himself through the passenger door's window...

Seconds later the truck skidded to a stop and vehicles that had been giving chase were able to surround it, Business Insider noted.

Check out the jaw-dropping sequence:

Unless it was some kind of elaborate hoax, our hero of the moment pulled off a move that's been done heretofore most notably on Hollywood movie sets.

Here's Rambo doing the truck-takeover-via-passenger-door thing in "First Blood" (although he jumps off a hill rather than running after the vehicle, we won't hold that against him):

And Indiana Jones certainly has it all over everybody. In a classic scene from "Raiders of the Lost Ark," he first gets thrown out of a truck, is nearly run over by it, pulls himself back inside (sliding on his belly over sand and gravel at high speeds), and then retakes it...using the passenger door!

But as Harrison Ford confesses in the voiceover, "it's only make believe":
