The Incredible Lengths to Which One Police Dept. Went to Protect Children From Sexual Predator

"I wanted to share with you that we will use all means available to try and protect our children."

When police in Pulaski Township, Pa., received reports of a pervert touching himself in front of Amish children walking home from school, officers jumped into action.

Before they could apprehend the suspect, they first had to catch him in the act. Obviously, police didn’t want any more children to be exposed to the sexual predator, so they came up with a very unconventional plan.

It was decided that Sgt. Chad Adams would dress up like an Amish woman in hopes of luring the criminal into exposing himself again so police could arrest him. In the meantime, police arranged transportation for kids to go to and from school, HuffPost reports.

Adams later shared a photo of him wearing the undercover disguise on the Pulaski Township Police Department’s Facebook page.

“I wanted to share with you that we will use all means available to try and protect our children,” he wrote. “That includes dressing up as an Amish woman to attempt to apprehend a pervert!”

The suspect did not show his face again, however, a suspect in a nearby county was arrested for allegedly committing similar crimes.

Police in Pulaski Township say they don’t have enough evidence to charge him with the crimes he allegedly committed in the area, partly because some Amish families won't let their children to testify in court.
