The 'Unacceptable' Senior 'Prank' Some Students Pulled Will Result in 'Appropriate Consequences,' School Says

"This is unacceptable..."

Several students draped a sign with a racial slur on the side of a Georgia high school early Wednesday as part of a "senior prank," prompting school officials to launch an investigation that they say will result in disciplinary action against the responsible individuals.

"N**** we made it!" the sign displayed on the side of Forsyth County High school read. The statement appeared to be inspired by lyrics to a popular rap song.

After images of the sign were circulated online, the school released a statement condemning the actions of the students.

"This morning, without our knowledge, students placed a derogatory sign with a verse from a song by Drake on our school as a senior prank," the statement to parents said, according to WAGA-TV. "We removed it as soon as it was brought to our attention and deeply apologize for their behavior."

It was not clear how many students were responsible for displaying the sign, but school administrators promised swift action. According to them, surveillance video exists showing the participating students.

"This is unacceptable and I promise you that the students will receive the appropriate consequences for their actions," the statement issued Wednesday said.
