A 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a brother-sister pair in the bathroom of an Oklahoma City elementary school.
“She came out with her knees and hands shaking and crying," the girl's mother told a local TV station in an interview aired on Friday. "I jumped out of the car and asked her what was wrong and she said ‘mama they touched me down there.’”
The attack allegedly occurred at Edgemere Elementary, where the girl said she encountered a female classmate and the classmate's 8-year-old brother in a bathroom.
According to the girl, the classmate held her down while the 8-year-old raped her.
The girl said she screamed at first, but the pair of attackers threatened to beat her up if she didn't stop.
"She said, 'It's two of them, mama, so I listened,'" said the girl's mother.
Police were called and the girl was taken to the hospital, where medical examination found that her wounds were consistent with a sexual assault.
“I’m not just blaming the kids," said the mother. "I blame the teachers that are supposed to protect our kids when they’re at school.”
