It was a mistake seen worldwide.

During the MLB All-Star Game Tuesday night, CBS News published a tweet accidentally referring to Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter as "Michael Jeter."

The glaring mistake was quickly identified by the news outlet and corrected.

"Whoops, we meant to say DEREK Jeter takes bow at his final All-Star game," CBS News tweeted after deleting the previous tweet containing the error.

That didn't stop the Internet, however, from relentlessly mocking the news outlet online. The term "Michael Jeter" quickly started trending on Twitter worldwide.
