This Song Is a Gift From God': Famed Country Singer Releases Music Video With a Message the World Really Needs Right Now

"It’s an act of perseverance, prayer, hope, fellowship and mostly love."

As violent conflicts continue to rage across the globe, country star Reba McEntire has released a new music video for her song, "Pray for Peace," featuring peoples' heart-felt pleas for tranquility.

McEntire, who released the track and clip on her Facebook page, said the song and its central message were given to her by God — and thanked the many fans and celebrities who are supporting it on social media.

"The idea to write the song 'Pray For Peace' came to me last year as I was walking on our place in Gallatin, [Tennessee]. For days I’d sing, 'Pray for Peace', over and over," the singer explained. "It wasn’t until several months later did the other parts start to fall in place. Some, not until we got into the studio to record it."

McEntire said that she's never spent so much time preparing a track, noting that it evolved to include numerous instruments and guest artists.

"I feel this song is a gift from God," she said. "It’s an act of perseverance, prayer, hope, fellowship and mostly love."

The singer went on to thank the countless celebrities, including Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, Amy Grant and others, who have been supporting "Pray for Peace."

"Such an important message sent from God," McEntire added.
