Kayakers Get the Surprise of a Lifetime After Whales Do More Than Just Float By

"Incredible."

A couple in a two-person kayak paddling along got more than they bargained for when they spotted a pod of whales.

While just a glimpse of the giant creatures in the gulf off the the coast of Puerto Madryn, Argentina, might have been exciting enough, one of the whales upped the ante when it approached and actually lifted the kayak from underneath — twice.

The couple caught it all on video:

News.com.au translated some of the couple's commentary in the video:

Male: I’m filming. Look, that one is coming over here. Can you see her?

Female: Yes.

Male: Look. (whale growls) That one got angry at you. Look, here you have another one ... that one’s going to crash into us, eh?

Female: Take pictures of them, take pictures of them.

Male: I’m filming them.

Female: But I want one for Face (Facebook)

Male: I’ll get one later.

Female: Aahhhhh!

Male: Look! It’s coming to bite your oar. Look! Look! Look! Look! Look! Look! Look! Look! Incredible, incredible, incredible! Loooooook! It touched us. We’re on top of the whale, we’re on top of the whale, we’re on top of the whale. Look, look, look, we have two. Maintain your balance, maintain your balance only. Look, look, look, look. Incredible. Look, look. Look look. Look.

The YouTube user going by gisela6652 wrote (via an unofficial translation) that it was "an incredible evening, lots of sun kayaking and whale watching."
