A 14-year-old girl who was found dead last week after taking her dog for a walk may have left investigators with a clue in the form of a text message.
"Omg. ... I think I'm being kidnapped," April Millsap told her boyfriend via text message on the night of her disappearance, according to the Associated Press.

Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw confirmed to the Detroit Free Press that his department is looking ingot a text message, but declined to disclose what it said and disputed what has been reported about the message.
“We don’t know who sent it — if it was April, if it was the killer, or someone else,” he said.

The 14-year-old's body was discovered by two joggers Thursday night near a trail about 35 miles north of Detroit, after the girl's dog led them to her body. An autopsy was later performed, but authorities have declined to elaborate on the cause of death.
Police have since released a sketch of a suspect, saying the man was seen in the vicinity around the time of Millsap's disappearance.
