Former CIA Analyst Buck Sexton Suspects This Is How the Obama Admin. Views Foreign Policy

"The administration's essentially trying to duck out of all of this."

Former CIA intelligence analyst Buck Sexton on Friday said he believes the Obama administration is hoping to "duck out" of its foreign policy obligations, passing all of the current crises onto the next administration.

"With the Arab Spring, we've been on the wrong side of what happened in Egypt numerous times," Sexton said on TheBlaze TV's Dana. "[This] administration has been on the wrong side, at least in its tone, with Hamas and the fight with Israel. And I think that what we see now is, the administration is essentially trying to duck out of all of this. They want nothing to do with foreign policy in general. They're just hoping to hand it off to another Democratic administration."

Sexton said it's difficult to decide which foreign policy crisis facing the United States is most troubling.

"I think that you can point to the absence of any actual policy, other than a desire to, essentially, make the U.S. less of a presence around the world," he said. "This actually stretches back to the earlier days of the administration; it's not something that we've had to learn the hard way recently. It was pretty clear from the beginning that, with some of our allies, the president seemed to have a distaste for them."

Sexton discussed Iraq and Russia, saying there is "no doubt" in his mind that Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to invade Ukraine if he believes that is in his best interests.
