Man Fishing On Florida Dock Pulls 'Massive' Sea Creature Out of the Water — Wait Until You See the Pics

"...was fishing from a dock in Fort Pierce as he watched a fellow fisherman pull this creature out of the water."

A man fishing on a dock in Florida was astounded to see what he pulled out of the water: an 18-inch, massive shrimp-like creature.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission posted photos of the "massive thing" to Facebook Thursday where they soon went viral.

"Steve Bargeron was fishing from a dock in Fort Pierce as he watched a fellow fisherman pull this creature out of the water," the FWC wrote on Facebook.

"Steve said the massive thing was about 18 inches long and striking its own tail, so he grabbed it by its back like a lobster," it added.

According to the FWC, scientists think the sea creature is a mantis shrimp, a type of crustacean called a stomatopod.
