High School Football Player Leaves Anchors Stunned After His Postgame Speech

"Win or lose, we realized we were going to be alright."

Meet Apollos Hester, a high school football player who could teach a few things to many NFL players.

Hester plays for the East View High School Patriots in Georgetown, Texas.

Following his team's remarkable 42-41 comeback win against Vandegrift High School on Friday, Lauren Mickler, a local sports reporter, interviewed Hester.

How good was the interview? Mickler's Twitter feed called it "the interview of the year."

The Austin Time Warner Cable sports reporter asked one question that launched Hester on a nearly two-minute impromptu inspirational speech.

She simply inquired, "What were you guys able to do to come back and win this thing?"
