Islamic State Fighters, Meet the F-15E Strike Eagle. The Video Captured How the Showdown Ended

On Saturday, U.S. warplanes hit Islamic State fighters in Kobani, a town in Syria near the Turkish border.

Now we have footage of the strike.

The video, released by U.S. Central Command late Saturday, shows the power of F-15E Strike Eagles as they annihilate an Islamic State compound.

"The United States conducted this strike as part of the President's comprehensive strategy to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL [the Islamic State]," the Central Command statement with the video said. "Going forward, the U.S. military will continue to conduct targeted airstrikes against ISIL in Syria and Iraq as local forces go on the offensive against this terrorist group."
