Police say 5-year-old Milo Franklin may have saved the lives of everyone in his family after acting quickly to prevent a potential house fire.
The young child of New Braunfels, Texas was in bed when he woke up to find his Spiderman night light had fallen over, and had started to catch his sheets on fire.

"It was on fire, and there was a hole on my bed, and I needed to unplug it so it won't make any more flames," Franklin told KSAT-TV.
After unplugging the device, Milo quickly ran to wake up his parents.

"We were both just white,” his mother, Fallon Franklin, said. “We were just like, 'Oh, my gosh. His little sister's in the bed next to him, and there was a fire.'"
Fallon praised Garden Ridge Elementary, Milo's school, for teaching the students about what to do in case of a fire.
"I'm very proud,” she said. “He's five. It's just amazing, and it's great that the firemen come out to the schools and teach them."

The fire department is investigating the lamp, and Fallon said she was shocked that it caught on fire.
“If you read on the tag on the lamp, it says that it meets minimum requirements for a child's toy,” she said. “If we can help let people know that just to watch their kids' toys, be careful, because this is a very popular product.”
