UPDATE: Two people have died in connection with a mall shooting in central Florida.
Police say the first person who died in Saturday's Melbourne, Florida, mall shooting was the gunman, who turned his firearm on himself after opening fire in the mall's food court, WESH-TV reported.
CNN reported Saturday afternoon that a second person, one of the shooting victims, had died after being hospitalized.
Another victim is in stable condition in a local hospital, authorities said.

The first shots were fired around 9:30 a.m. in the Melbourne Square Mall, according to local news reports.
People in the mall reported hearing a quick succession of as many as six shots, WTVJ-TV reported.
"There's a shooting, we have to get out," mall employee Jeff Gross recalled a co-worker yelling as the chaos erupted.
Melbourne police reported containing the shooter shortly after the initial reports of shots fired.

News of the shooting prompted an outpouring of prayers online.
