Woman Allegedly Stabbed in Neck During Parking Lot Attack. But Her Boyfriend Settles the Matter With Just One Punch.
April 25, 2015
The man was unconscious for several minutes.
A man and woman were sitting in a car at a gas station in Pasadena, California, on Thursday afternoon when another man allegedly kicked the passenger door and started yelling at the woman, police said.
But after the pair exited the vehicle to confront the man — and while a cellphone video was rolling — he allegedly stabbed the woman in the neck with a pocket knife, Pasadena police Lieutenant John Mercado told the Pasadena Star-News.
In response the woman's companion — her boyfriend, according to KTTV-TV — punched the man in the face once, knocking him flat on his back in front of the AM/PM store.
The man was unconscious for several minutes, KTTV added.
The woman was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, police said Friday.
Luis Martinez, 26, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police told the Star-News, and was in jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
