Kid Eats Hottest Pepper in the World, Immediately Regrets It

Video published to YouTube Friday shows a 9-year-old eat a Carolina Reaper Pepper – and almost immediately regret it.

The pepper is considered to be the hottest pepper in the world, approximately twice as hot as a Ghost Pepper, according to the Scoville scale.

"The first few chews were very hot but just about manageable. Then the volcano erupted," the kid wrote on YouTube.

A person in the background said, "Well, you're not supposed to swallow it!"

The video ends with the boy desperately drinking a glass of milk in an attempt to quell the burn.
