UPDATE 9:00 p.m. ET: Firefighters have the blaze under control and no injuries were immediately reported, according to KRIV-TV. The shelter in place order has been lifted.

A shelter in place order was issued Friday afternoon as a three-alarm fire raged at the scene of a chemical plant in Conroe, Texas, KRIV-TV reported.
Video posted online by witnesses showed a massive plume of black smoke rising into the air from the scene.
Firefighters were also seen battling the massive flames.
