Donald Trump Just Deleted This 9/11 Tweet — Here's the Explanation Offered by His Campaign
September 11, 2015
On Friday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump deleted a 2013 tweet in which he extended his “best wishes” to all, “even the haters and losers,” on Sept. 11.
Trump actually retweeted his old tweet on Friday and it remained posted on his account for a period of time after the original was deleted, though it was ultimately deleted too.

A Trump campaign spokeswoman eventually offered this explanation to Business Insider: “It is from several years ago.” They declined to elaborate any further.
As Trump reminded his supporters, he's scheduled to appear on the "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon on Friday.
I will be on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight at 11:30. Should be fun! @jimmyfallon
