Hundreds of Iranian-Americans gathered outside the United Nations Building in New York City Monday to protest Iran President Hassan Rouhani's presence at the General Assembly and the nuclear deal President Barack Obama struck with his regime.
Delaram Ahmady, whose family left Iran when she was four-years-old, said she does not believe Obama ought to be negotiating with Rouhani.
"I don't think President Obama should be making deals with Hassan Rouhani," Ahmady said. "He is not a legitimate representative of the Iranian people."
Pourya Khademi a violinist, and composer, who played at the rally called Obama's deal "terrible for the people of Iran."
"Side with the people of Iran, and help them change the government to a democratically elected government," said Khademi, directing his remarks at Obama.
