The Center for Medical Progress released on Tuesday a new undercover video alleging Planned Parenthood used “accounting gimmicks” to conceal evidence of profit from the sale of aborted fetal body parts.
The video's release comes shortly before David Daleiden, the founder of the Center for Medical Progress, will present himself before a Texas judge on Thursday morning.
"Planned Parenthood's self-interested political maneuvers will never silence free speech or the citizen press,” Daleiden said in a statement. “The new video released today shows that no amount of half-baked barratry can conceal Planned Parenthood's barbaric harvesting and profiting off baby body parts."
In the new video released by the pro-life group, Melissa Farrell, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast’s director of research, said that “we get requests a lot for fetal tissue.”
“We had two levels of invoicing for them,” Farrell said. “We had it worded as ‘per consent,’ because the consent process was the administrative part that we had to do. Then we had an overall ‘administrative fee’ for basically working it into um, the clinics themselves. And at the time, ‘per consent’ was 25 dollars.”
In a separate clip, when asked by the filmmakers about "renumeration," Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast CEO Melaney Linton said that Farrell will “work on all of that with you.”
The Center for Medical Progress recently released coinciding financial documents that they say “demonstrate an illegal scheme” by Planned Parenthood to profit from the sale of aborted fetal body parts.

A Harris County grand jury recently indicted Daleiden and Sandra Merritt for their roles in the release of undercover videos of Planned Parenthood executives.
Both Daleiden and Merritt were indicted for tampering with a governmental record, and Daliden was additionally indicted for prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs.
The grand jury did not indict any Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast employees.
“The evidence that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast charged exorbitant amounts of taxpayer money in exchange for fetal specimens that it provided at nearly zero cost is overwhelming,” Daleiden added. “Governor Abbott and Attorney General Paxton need to send a strong message that Houston’s children are not for sale, and they must immediately appoint a special prosecutor to hold Planned Parenthood accountable to the law.”

Daleiden’s lawyers have called the charges against him “baseless.”
“The charges against David Daleiden are legally and factually baseless,” Peter Breen, special counsel with Thomas More Society, a law firm representing Daleiden, said in a statement. “David used standard undercover journalism techniques to catch Planned Parenthood staff agreeing to alter abortion procedures to get more intact organs and tissue from aborted babies, presumably without telling their patients. David also caught Planned Parenthood staff discussing how to adjust accounting line items to conceal profits from baby body part transactions. Planned Parenthood’s lawyers in Houston have now admitted they dreamed up and demanded the charges against David, apparently in order to distract prosecutors and the public from their own bad acts. We intend to seek to have these charges dismissed at the earliest opportunity.”
In a statement regarding the indictment of the filmmakers, Linton said their claims are “completely false and unfounded.”
“Planned Parenthood has never ‘sold’ fetal tissue or facilitated fetal tissue donation in order to profit,” Linton said.
In a webcast hosted by the pro-life group 40 Days for Life on Tuesday evening, Daleiden said that the investigation was “done out of love for unborn children, was done out of love for their families, was done out of love for abortion providers and people who are trapped in the abortion industry.”
